Prayer

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:13-14

Prayer is the best tool, for millennial the best gadget we can ever have in communicating
with our creator, our GOD. We can always call on Him anytime, anywhere, no matter what
your circumstances are. When we are happy, in feast, famine, lonely, terrified, at peace,
anxious, angry, sick, healthy or facing any trouble, we should have a word  or two for Him.
He is always beside us, ready to listen. Whether the words are jubilant, sorrowful, penitent,
praising or angry, He is patiently waiting, listening never giving up on us.

There are  four elements of a good and complete prayer and it goes by the acronym 'ACTS'

A for adoration -- this sets the scene as we recognize God for who he is. It includes                                          praise, not that God needs it, but that we realize he is praiseworthy. That
                            is followed by
C for Confession- where we bring to mind all we have done wrong and ask for forgiveness
                            then
T for Thanksgiving- where we thank God for all he has done for us, not the same as praise,
which acknowledges God for who he is, irrespective of what he has done
                            for us, and finally:
S for Supplication – where we ask God to help us and others for our needs.

Prayer is free of charge not like the ones we are using to communicate with each like cell
phones, mail, emails, tv advertisements and whatever high tech gadget that we have. And
we can use it anytime and anywhere whether in silence or aloud, or just by our own hearts
and minds.

Pray always and without ceasing! Lord God teach us to pray from our hearts.
